About our Conductor
Over our 15 years, we
have had the pleasure of being conducted by Carol Hayworth, Jack
Evans, and Aaron Jackson.
Our conductor is Mr. Christopher Hoch. Chris received his
Bachelor's Degrees in music education and mathematics from The Ohio
State University in 2000. From 2000 to 2002 he served as a graduate
assistant director of The Ohio State University Marching and Athletic
Bands, and he graduated with his Masters Degrees in music education
and instrumental conducting in 2002. Chris is currently the Director
of Bands at Rutherford B. Hayes High School in Delaware, Ohio, where
he conducts the marching band, pep bands, concert band, and jazz
band. In addition to his teaching and directing, Chris is an active
performer and arranger as well as a current member of the Ohio Music
Education Association and MENC - the National Association of Music
Educators. Chris joined the Scioto Valley trombone section in 2003,
led the band through its “Summer at the Circus” season
of 2004, and took over musical direction of band starting with our 2007 movie tour.
