Characteristics for a Traditional British Brass Band
- All brass
instruments (except Trombones) are conical in design which produces
a rich, mellow sound and makes a wide range of tonal colors and
dynamics possible.
- All brass
instruments are scored in treble clef (except bass trombone)
- The instrumentation
is set and the size of the group is limited.
- Brass bands
include percussionists who play as many as twenty different instruments.
