Oh no. Rudolph couldn't make it to help the band and the audience get through the winter snow and ice, so the concert at Josephinum for Saturday 12/15 had to be cancelled. We're looking at options for rescheduling (Christmas in January?) and will let our wonderful fans know what is happening. Sorry.
Three years ago the Scioto Valley Brass and Percussion Company changed summer concert series forever when the band joined the circus for a summer. The following year, the Band went West with their "Wild West in Blazing Brass" show that featured cowboys and rodeos, bull-fights, a mad cow, square dancers, and even an assortment of Can-Can dancing brass players. The summer of 2006 was packed with mystery, intrigue, and a flock of pink flamingoes helping to perform Blue Rondo ala Turk.
For
2007 band members thought we'd get to relax at the movies, but "relax"
is not what's happening. Instead members of our band are trying to recover the
coveted "Ark of Befuddlement" that has been captured by evil
forces around the globe and even across the universe. As you listen to our arrangements
of great movie music you'll follow the adventures of the Pink Panther and the
trombone playing Inspector Clouseau, Batman, Darth Vader, James Band, and many
more movie favorites.

The Scioto Valley Brass & Percussion Company was formed in 1993, and since then it has provided opportunities for Central Ohio brass players and percussionists to entertain audiences with a mix of popular and traditional music in the tradition of the "British Brass Bands" of long ago.
